Boeing (Chicago and Seattle) has built the 1,500th Boeing 747 to come off the development line to Lufthansa (Frankfurt). The landmark airplane is a 747-8 Global, the 14 th one that Lufthansa will integrate into its long-haul navy.
“Reaching this landmark distribution is proof of the abilities of the airplane and our dedication to ongoing advancement of best services and cheap air tickets,” said Eric Lindblad, vice chairman of Boeing Professional Aircraft.
The 747 is the first wide body airplane in record to achieve the 1,500 landmark. Its famous form makes it instantly identifiable, and travelers have continually elected it their preferred airplane to fly.
“Lufthansa is recognized that the 1,500th Beoing 747 will fly with the Lufthansa livery,” said Nico Buchholz, professional vice chairman, Lufthansa Fleet Control. “Lufthansa is an essential associate and a respected consultant in creating new commercial airplanes with remarkable cost-effective and environmental efficiency such as the 747-8. The commemorative logo will be a indication of our connection with Boeing, now and into the long run.”
Lufthansa is the release client of the 747-8 Global and took distribution of its first airplane in Apr 2012. The air journey has 19 747-8 Intercontinentals on order.
The first Boeing 747-100 joined income support on January 22, 1970 with Pan Am on the New York–London path.
Lufthansa in German Airways on March 10, 1970 became the first Western air journey to take distribution of the Boeing 747-100. The first LH 747, 747-130 D-ABYA (msn 19746), was approved on this ancient day. The Large was presented into income support between Frankfurt and New York (JFK) on April 26, 1970. Lufthansa has managed a version of the 747 for over 44 years.
